Mr. James Otis Brand, 76, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at N.E. Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Ala.
He was born October 19, 1930, in Heard County, son of the late Grady and Maggie Thomaston Brand. He was a Deacon at Baptist Tabernacle, and worked as a loom fixer at J.P. Stevens Dunson Plant. He was a loving husband and a friend to everyone.
Survivors include his loving wife of 9 years, Mabel Fling McGreggor Brand; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Roy Daniel, Linda and Stacey Bradley, a daughter, Vicki Cruz, all of Beulah, Ala.; a step-daughter, Marilyn McGreggor Jordan of Wedowee, Ala.; a sister, Christine Culpepper of LaGrange; a brother, Hulet Brand of Pine Mountain; several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 Friday in Hunter-Allen- Myhand Chapel with Revs. Jimmy McMillian and Bobby Bozeman officiating. Interment will be at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will be at his home at 332 Park Hill Dr. and receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 5:00 until 7:00.
