Private graveside services will be held on Wednesday at Adams United Methodist Church Cemetery. Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Ray was born on January 30, 1933 in Willacoochee, GA to Clarence William Futch and Effie Akins Futch.
He worked for many years as a farmer. He enjoyed the outdoors, raising cattle and spending time on the tractor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mae Opal Futch, and his seven siblings.
He is survived by his daughters Daree Kansas (Allen) of Summit, Wanda Lewis of Lake Havasu, AZ, grandchildren Brittni Bossier, Jeffrey Kansas, Evan Lang, and Dean Lewis, great grandchildren Bella, Breanna, Dawson Richard, Casey and Elise Lang, Tyler and Gavin Lewis, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
