She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Stephen Friloux; her parents, Gorham and Verna Leverett and her brother, Deane Thomson Leverett.
She is survived by her two sons, Stephen Dean Friloux and Randall Leverett Friloux (Kelley Conner Friloux); her grandchildren, Olivia Leigh Friloux, Grace Anne Friloux and Caroline Elizabeth Friloux; her sisters-in-law, Mary Leigh Leverett, Sue Friloux, Alice Friloux St. Ament and Banq Friloux; her brother-in-law, James Friloux and much-loved cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
Mrs. Friloux was born to Gorham Vance Leverett and Verna Kluge Leverett on July 2, 1930, in Buffalo, NY.
She was raised in Beaverton, OR where she attended a one-room school and graduated from Beaverton High School Class of 1948.
After graduation she joined the United States Army as a Sergeant and was trained as a dental assistant. She was honorably discharged in 1953.
While working in Dallas, TX she met Steve Friloux, her future husband, in the Federal Building in 1952. They married in 1954.
She lived in New Sarpy LA, Ventura CA, Houston TX, Rio de Janeiro Brazil, Mobile AL, Nocatee FL and Jacksonville Beach FL.
Mrs. Friloux was a devoted volunteer for Providence Hospital and the Providence Hospital Festival of Flowers in Mobile, AL.
She was a devoted wife and enjoyed painting landscapes, travel, exercise and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, July 21, 2023, at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 13396 River Road in Destrehan, LA beginning at 10:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:30 AM. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
