CLARENDON - Billie Faye Ashcraft Hicks, 80, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lance Wood, pastor, and the Rev. Truman Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors.

Billie was born Oct. 24, 1927, in Alvarado to John and Iola Wright Kimbrow. She married John Calvin Ashcraft on April 2, 1946, in Denton. He preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1996. She later married Alvin Hicks. He preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 2002. She had been a resident of Clarendon most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Fern Watts and husband James of Clarendon; two sisters, Lula Owen of Clarendon and Betty Bryant of Mesquite; a brother, Kirby Kimbrow of Burleson; a brother-in-law, James Ashcraft of Clarendon; two grandchildren, Tammy Christopher and husband Clay of Clarendon and Jerry Stegall of Pampa; five stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth Watts of Mineral Wells, Debbie Hickman of Clarendon, Jamie Kaye Ristau, Patty Bell and Linda Massey, all of Honey Grove; five great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Christopher and Elizebeth Christopher, both of Clarendon, Lane Stegall, Sonny Stegall and Brittany Stegall, all of Groom; and several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to Medical Center Nursing Home, P.O. Box 1007, Clarendon, TX 79226; or Citizens Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 983, Clarendon, TX 79226.

The family will be at 720 E. Burkhead.
