ZUGG MAXINE M. Passed away May 24, 2002, at her home in Berkeley at 90 years of age. A native of Berkeley. Maxine is survived by her sister Marie Wiesner; nephew Paul A. Slater; niece Judy Pope; grandnephew Kris Jarvis and grandniece Samantha Jarvis. Her sister Lorraine A. Slater preceded her in death. Daughter of Otho and Marie Zugg and a graduate of U.C. Berkeley, Maxine retired as Northern California Chief of Staff Services with 43 years of service for the State of California's Employment Development Department. She was an active member of the League of Women Voters, International Association of Employment Securities and a lobbyist for California State Employees Association. Friends are cordially invited to attend a Celebration of Maxine's Life, June 16, 2002, 2 - 5 p.m. at His Lordships Restaurant, 199 Sea Wall Drive, Berkeley, CA. Donations may be made in Ms. Zugg's memory to the Alzheimer's Association of Northern California, or the Berkeley-Eastbay Humane Society, 2700 - 9th St., Berkeley, CA 94710.
