Alvina B. Miller, 82, died at her home in Longmont, Colo., June 23, 1995. A memorial service was at First Congregational Church in Colorado with the Rev. Peg Grzelkowski officiating. Cremation was handled by Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and inurnment was Southhill Cemetery in Vandalia, Ill.
Ms. Miller was born Feb. 23, 1913, in Gerard, Ill., to Frederick Stratman and Minnie Klein Stratman. She married Roy E. Miller, March 31, 1935, in Vandalia, Ill. She moved to Colorado from Arizona in 1992, and was a frequent visitor in Alaska.
Ms. Miller is survived by her son, Edward G. Miller of Yuma, Ariz.; daughters, Joyce E. White of Perth, Australia, Judith A. Miller of Longmont, Colo., Connie S. Bensler of Anchorage, and Diane R. Marriott of Littleton, Colo.; sister Mildred Engle of Evansville, Ind.; grandchildren, Roy E. Miller, Sheri Clark, Susan Woolfenden, Michael Woolfenden, Michael Bensler and William Bensler, Jeffery Burianek and Jill Axelson; and great-grandchildren, Ashley Miller, Michael Clark and Allen Clark. Contributions can be sent to Boulder County Hospice in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
