Dorothy M. Hamilton, 85, of Stilesville, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Hendricks Regional Hospital in Danville.
She was born Saturday, January 15, 1938 to the late Lewis E. and Klea (Hickman) Johnson in Switzerland County, Indiana. On February 2, 1957, she married husband, Paul Wade "Tut" Hamilton who passed away February 26, 2016.
Dorothy was a 1956 graduate of Clayton High School and was a member of Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church for several years. She worked as an X-ray technician at Hendricks Regional Health for over 25 years before her retirement in 2003.
She is survived by son, Michael Lee "Mike" Hamilton and wife Loretta; several grandchildren and step grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Tut; parents, Lewis and Klea; sons, Paul L. Hamilton and Rodger K. Hamilton; daughters, Nancy Lou Hamilton and Sue Anne Hamilton; brothers, William H. Johnson and Robert L. Johnson.
Visitation is 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Costin Funeral Chapel. Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2023 at Costin Funeral Chapel with an hour of visitation prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m.
Dorothy will be laid to rest at Stilesville Cemetery.
