John died about age 35 and was the son of John Mead I and Hanna Porter. He married Ruth Hardey daughter of Richard. They had four children John III 1682-1759, Jonathan "the cooper" 1684-1712, Elizabeth 1687-1713, and Nathan 1691-1777.
John was the Town Brander( Record Keeper) and Constable.
