Bertha Ward
Funeral services were held yesterday for Bertha L. Ward, 74, former Lebanon resident. She died Saturday at her home in Yakima, Wash. Huston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ward was born March 2, 1909, in St. Louis, Mo., and lived in Illinois and California before moving to Lebanon in 1971 and to Yakima in 1977.
She was a former member of the Lebanon Geological Society and Silver Tops Trailer Club. She had worked for the May Co. in California before her marriage to Dwight Ward on Oct. 12, 1937, at Covington, Ky. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Warren Ward of Lebanon, and Robert Ward of Puyallup, Wash.; a daughter, Lucinda Ward of Seattle, a brother, Wilfred Ames of Washington, Ill., and six grandchildren.
