Joyce Joan Sand
May 29, 1928 - January 17, 2022
Bellingham, Washington - Joyce was born in Sac City, Iowa and moved with her family to Washington State when she was 9. The Judd family were some of the earliest residents of Chuckanut Drive.

She married her best friend's brother, Earl Loren Sand in 1948. They were together for 63 years until Earl's passing in 2011. They raised two children; Tom and Marsha, in a rustic home on Chuckanut Mountain.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Emma Judd; her two brothers; Delford and Francis; two sisters; Norma Jean Tiffany and Nelda Judd; and her sister-in-law/best friend, Shirley Carpenter.

She is survived by her children; Thomas Sand and Marsha Sand Easterby; her two grandsons; Adam McMillen and Air Force Master Sgt Dane (Jounghee) McMillen; two great-grandsons; Tycho and Terran McMillen; and her beloved cat "Puddy."

The family would like to thank her physician, Dr. Brian Patterson for keeping her healthy for the past fifty years. And thank you to the staff at North Cascades Nursing Home for their compassionate and professional care during the last months.

No services will be held as per Joyces's request.
