Nora M. Smillie, 93, of Forbes Road, died Saturday, July, 8, 2023, in Westmoreland Hospital. She was born December 12, 1929, in Armbrust, a daughter of the late Edward and Rose Albright. She was a member of the former Forbes Road Union Church. She enjoyed playing cards, especially Phase 10. Nora was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse C. Smillie; her sisters, Lena Flock (Ray) and Flo Hixon (Ken); her brother, George Albright; also, her in-laws. Nora is survived by her children, George Smillie (Joan), Donald Smillie and Tammie Smillie; her grandchildren Jesse C. Smillie (Dawn) and Amanda M. Hardik (Andrew); great grandchildren, Lilly Hardik, George Smillie, Drew Hardik and Jacob Smillie; sister-in-law, Edith Albright; also, a number of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg. Nora's funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. The Smillie family would like to thank Redstone At Home Health for the wonderful care of Nora. Thanks also go to, Debbie and John Hare, for showing Nora compassion with weekly phone calls.
