The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 11 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 12 at 1:00 p.m. in the Riverside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
Yvonne was born June 6, 1924, in Crockett County to Elberta and R. T. Tucker. She graduated from Alamo High School and moved to Memphis, Tennessee where she worked at Sears Roebuck and Company as a bookkeeper. She also worked for Union Planters Bank. She was a longtime member of Pendleton Presbyterian Church where she received an honorary life membership. She was currently a member of Woodland Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed traveling and made a point to see all 50 states and 9 foreign countries.
She was known for her delicious pies be it chocolate or pecan. She was a true animal lover, never missing the chance to provide food or shelter to a stray cat or dog that typically became a permanent resident!
Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William H. Weatherred; son, William Weatherred Jr. of Alamo, TN; and daughter, Susan Adkins of Memphis, TN.
