Ada md Ernest Fryman (10 Jul 1901)
_______________
Obviously they WERE married and lived together for most of the period betwen 1900 and 1920, in Mattoon, Illinois.
HOWEVER, the only place I've seen a reference to their marrige date is in a newspaper article dated Sep 28, 1916, when they were going thru (once again) a to-do about getting a divorce.
Side note: They lost half of their kids, as little kids, lost one girl that was a few days old in 1912. And then in 1944, lost their youngest son in WW II in Italy.
Ada was probabaly berserk.
Anyway, the marriage date given in that Sep 1916 article, was they they got married July 10, 1900.
That actually works OK with the birth of their first son. But I haven't been able to find them on ANY marriage list, which is weird, but maybe it was in a different county.
And, I'm open to the possibility that it was really 1901. Wouldn't be the first time that the year was off by one.
