Memorial services for Elizabeth Louise "Betty" Froemming Rowden, 72, of Branson, will be held at 11 a.m. March 31, 2008, at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson with the Rev. Jim Cariker officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.

Mrs. Rowden died March 26, 2008, at her home.

She was born the daughter of John and Katherine Rodgers Black. She had been a resident of Branson since 1969 and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

She was a member of the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Branson and had been a member of the Pink Ladies Auxillary at Skaggs Community Health Center for 15 years. She had worked as a waitress for many years and had her own catering business before retiring.

She is survived by her children, Mark Froemming, of Erie, Kan., David Froemming, of Humboldt, Kan., and Karen Kirk, Terri Stewart and Donna Shell, all of Branson; brothers, Jim and Bill Black, both of California; sisters, Rita Mace, of Branson, and Elaine Dean, of Burkburnett, Texas; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pink Ladies Auxillary and may be left or mailed to Greenlawn Funeral Home, 708 State Highway 248, Branson, Mo. 65616.
