OCALA - Mr. Royal W. Jones "Jonesey", 88, went home on December 30, 2010 after a 17 year battle with Guillain Barré Syndrome (GBS). Mr. Jones was born in Fullerton, PA on February 8, 1922. He served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean conflict. Jonesey retired from Goodyear in Akron, OH as a Aeronautical Engineer. He moved to Ocala shortly after retirement, where he was an active member of Berean Baptist Church. In 2002, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Delma Jones. Survivors include Linda Smith of Ocala, Laura Bell of Mason, OH, Deborah Allen of Clarendon Hills, IL, David Jones of Ocala, 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held in Hinsdale, IL on January 22, 2011. Arrangements are under the care of Roberts Funeral Homes Downtown Chapel. 352-622-4141
