Penny Marlene Anderson, age 68, of Glendale, Arizona passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

Today, we put to rest a very bright light from our lives, Penny Anderson. She sadly passed away on September 12th, 2022. She'd been battling Stage 4 Breast Cancer for the better part of the year...probably longer, and now she rests with the Lord in light, love, and happiness. She lived a long and eventful life, and though it was cut far too short, we know she didn't leave unfulfilled.

Above all else, she was one of the most faithful Christians of our time, she poured her heart out and gave all her love and joy to the Lord, and his children. She and Jeff made sure their children and grandchildren knew who the Lord was, his light, how much he loved them, and that they were saved. She found Jesus in 1987 and followed Him whole heartedly from then on. She had the spiritual gift of prophesy and was not shy about proclaiming Jesus to whoever would listen. In recent years, during the lockdowns and beyond she turned her focus to Bible prophesy wanting to know, beyond doubt, about end times and how everything fits together.

Penny was born in Joliette, Illinois into a poor, dysfunctional home with 4 siblings. She'd been married 3 times and was finally able to have the children she'd always wanted in her 3rd, beginning her journey as a loving wife of 31 years to Jeff, mother to Angela and Megan, and grandmother/mother to Sofie and Eshne. Despite having them later in life, she gave and did everything she could for her kids to assure they had better life than she'd had as a child. She took the kids on adventures, camping, hiking, horseback riding, 4H, swimming – you name it; and then did the same with her grandkids, even when she could no longer do it herself, she always made sure they had fun. She was loyal and mostly gracious, even when we gave her a hard time, and always told people what they needed to hear...even when they didn't want to listen. She always planned for everything – made sure there were big birthday parties, holidays, and everything else…but also making sure the family was prepared for the worst times.

She set off on her own at an early age and started her long business career that included jobs with Time-Warner, Neilson ratings, NY Cosmos, Phillips, State of Colorado, State of Arizona, and many more. One of her favorite stories to tell us was the time when she lived in New York, working at those companies, and sharing her good nature with those around her. She was an artist too, loved taking photos, scrap booking, interior design, and even drawing. Despite her protests, she'd have made an amazing author as well, if she'd had more time. Her story was fascinating, filled with inspiration, passion, and adoration for the Lord and her loved ones. Though it will never be published or read, that story won't be forgotten. Thank you, those of you who offered prayers and well wishes during her treatment, and now. It meant the world to her, and it means the world to us. Rest in peace, Penny, we love you so much and will miss you more than anything.

A visitation for Penny will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North 59th Avenue, Glendale, Arizona, followed by a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
