Mrs. Mary Ella Webster, 95, of Roger Springs, departed this life early Friday morning, July 7, 2023, at Christian Care Center in Bolivar.

She was a native and life-long resident of Roger Springs and a 1945 graduate of Middleton High School where she played basketball. On December 22nd of that year, she married Mr. Ed Webster and they were married for 52 years at the time of his passing on January 12, 1998. Together, they had been owners of Webster's in Bolivar and she was a homemaker, as well. Mrs. Webster was a faithful member of the Roger Springs church of Christ and, in her leisure time, enjoyed gardening and canning.

She leaves three daughters, Sherry (Ray) Henderson of Blue Mountain, MS, Glenda (Roger) Wilbanks and Betty (David) Baker, both of Jackson, TN; two sons, Wayne Webster of Bolivar and Dennis Webster of Middleton; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Alan Webster; parents, Hobart and Minnie Yopp Burgess; two daughters-in-law, Nancy and Terry Webster; and six brothers, Hymon, Haston, Raymond, Preston, Neal and Buell Burgess.
