He moved to Colorado from Grenville, South Dakota after graduating from high school to pursue bigger opportunities. He worked at Martin Marietta, IBM, and Lexmark. He was a senior lab specialist and retired from Lexmark at the age of 60 and earned multiple degrees in his field.
He met the love of his life and got married in 1961. They had 4 children together, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. They had a wonderful 61 years of marriage together.
He loved fishing, gardening, and took pride in his yard. He was a perfectionist at everything he did. He cherished his family and all the time they spent together.
He is survived by his wife, Sally, children Colleen and (Al) of Bradenton, FL, Annette and (Brian) of Brighton, CO, Ted and (Deanna) of Thornton, CO, and Michelle and (Chris) of Holly Springs, NC, 8 grandchildren Shantel and (Joseph) Kriss, Kaila and (John) Ness, Kortney Zakrzewski and (Charles Cambridge), Tara Khleif, Teddy Zakrzewski and (Mariah Hilton), Morgan and (Paul) Perez, Madison Hayes, and Kylee Hayes, 9 great grandchildren Zandon, Paidon, Kindon Ness, Asher Cullen-Khleif, Paul, Colt, Todd Perez, Corvus Rovello, and Josephine Kriss. He is also survived by Jim and (Theresa) Zakrzewski, Michaelene and (Ray) Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert (Rita), Arnold (Rose), Damian (Joann). He is also survived by Aunt Florence and Aunt Frances and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 10th, 2023 at 11385 Grant Dr. Northglenn, CO, 80233. Visitation starts at 9:45am, followed by Rosary at 10:30am, Mass at 11:00am and followed by the procession to Mount Olivet, 12801 W 44th Ave. Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. Reception following at 12880 Josephine Ct. Thornton, CO 80241.
