He was the retired owner of Preston Wright's Body Shop for over 33 years. After retiring, Preston pursued his passion for bluegrass music by organizing Saturday night Bluegrass shows at the Belton Depot for almost 10 years. An avid antiques collector, he once appeared on Antiques Roadshow.
He is survived by his son, Marvin Wright of the home; daughters, Amelia Whitfield and her husband Jeff of Anderson, Tracy Youngblood and her husband Scott of Williamston; sisters, Carolyn Wright Ellenburg of Williamston, Macy Webb of Belton, and Shirley Vaughan of Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Martin, Joe, and Harrison Wright and an infant brother; and a sister, Mamie Wright Ford.
