Robert Jackson "Bob" Kimbler, 92, of Greenville, Indiana passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family members on Monday, July 3, 2023. He was born on November 8, 1930 to Walter and Nannie (Ballenger) Kimbler in Jamestown, KY.

He loved life and always shared a laugh with those he encountered. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working on his farm, woodworking, watching westerns and traveling.

He was a proud member of the United States Air Force, having served as an Airman 2nd Class from 1951 to 1954 in munitions. Bob was stationed in Okinawa, Japan during the Korean war. He later retired from B.F Goodrich/Zeon Chemical after 30 years.

Bob was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, Floyd Knobs, Indiana where he enjoyed friendships and activities with many members of the congregation. He also belonged to the American Legion of Floyd Knobs, Indiana.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Mark Kimbler; brothers, Lilbert, Ivan, William, Joe; and sisters, Edna and Helen.

Bob is survived by his wife of almost 66 years, Emma Lois (Coffey) Kimbler; son, Dale Kimbler (Darlene); daughter, Esther Robinson (Amanda Green); daughter-in-law, Felicia Kimbler; grandsons, Luke Robinson (Cheyenne), Bradley, Joshua, Zachary, and Matthew Kimbler; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Lauren Whitfield; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, 2023. His funeral service will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023 at the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington, Kentucky.
