Ferdinand married Johanna (nee Schaitza/Scheitza) Lasotta/Lasota on 24 Nov 1902 in Elmdale, Morrison, Minnesota. They had Ferdinand Jr. "Fred"born 1903 in Smallville, Minnesota. About 1904/05, they moved to Golva, ND where Ferdinand had purchased a farm. Johanna, nicknamed "Anna" died in childbirth about May 1905. She was first buried on the farm, then Burkey Cemetery, then finally Saint Marys Cemetery in Golva, North Dakota.
