Robert M. Randall
Cambridge Springs - Robert M. Randall, 86, 216 Prospect, Cambridge Springs, died Tuesday at Mead Nursing Home in Meadville.
He was born in Edinboro, July 23, 1893, a son of the late Milton and Cordelia Randall. [note I believe this is incorrect, from my research Robert's father was Marvin E Rodgers]
He was a carpenter and worked in the Edinboro area for many years prior to and during the time he was a police officer in Edinboro, from 1936 to 1952. During those years he also served as constable and, from 1946 to 1952, he was Edinboro's Chief of Police.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Virginia) Skelton of RD 2, Cambridge Springs; a son, Walter Randall of Greenville, S.C.; two granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren.
His wife, Lena Alward Randall, died in 1977.
Friends may call at the H. William Van Matre Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Friday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Richard Hampton, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Cambridge Springs, officiating.
Burial will be at Edinboro Cemetery.
