News was received last week of the sudden death of Monroe Bruce, a former resident, but now of Bellows Falls. While at work in the pulp mill, the elevator fell, striking him and killing him almost instantly. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss. Mr. Bruce was a son-in-law of H. A. Powers.

The funeral services of M. L. Bruce, who was killed by an elevator car at the Fall Mountain Paper Company's mill last Thursday, was held in the Baptist Church Monday at 10 o'clock. The remains were taken to Randolph for interment. Mr. Bruce was about forty-one years of age, and leaves a wife and three sons, who have the sympathy of all. The mill hands attended in a body.
