Sharon Ann Yaeger Wood

63, of Indianapolis, passed away November 11, 2012 after a long illness. She was born February 23, 1949 in St. Louis, MO to Robert Emmet and Clara Belle (Smiley) Yaeger. Her love of math led her to a career in accounting jobs, ranging from the U.S. Army Finance and Accounting in Germany, to her last position at Ace Rent a Car in Indianapolis, IN. She loved to read and passed this passion on to her grandsons. She was active in the Boy Scouts in Europe and the U.S. She was honored with the District Scout Leader of the Year in Hendricks County and was an accomplished Wood Badge recipient. She was happiest spending time with her grandsons, Robert and Thomas. She was excited following Roberts career with his bagpipes and Thomas on his desire to build his train sets. Sharon is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, William "Bill" R. Wood; sons, Robert Earl (Angelia) Wood, Thomas James (James) Wood; brother, Thomas (Jackie) Yaeger. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Everett Yaeger. A celebration of her life will be held on December 1, 2012 at the VFW Post 1587, 5139 W. 10th St., Speedway, IN (Post is bldg East of Mug N Bun drive in) from Noon to 3:00 p.m. A Rosary Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. prior to the celebration for those desiring to attend Mass. Indiana Memorial Cremation & Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
