BALDWIN Thelma M. (Long) Thelma M. (Long) Baldwin, 93, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at the home of her daughter. She was born May 29, 1914, in Toledo and was the daughter of Pearl and Edna Bachar. Thelma worked at Doehler-Jarvis, was a nanny for 14 children for over 10 years, did housecleaning for several years and was a foster mom. She was a member of the Eleanor Kahle Senior Center, the VFW Auxiliary, the Goodwill Auxiliary and the St. Charles Friendly Center. Thelma loved and was a very active member of Bethany Lutheran Church, where she served as treasurer, was on the membership committee, was a Circle leader and Bazaar leader. She also served as the Retirees president and assisted with the funeral luncheons. Thelma loved arts and crafts, and along with her second husband, Harold Baldwin, enjoyed many hours of creative art and lithographs. Their works were shown in the Toledo Museum of Art and are in many homes. Thelma was preceded in death by her first husband, John A. Long; second husband, Harold Baldwin; son, Earl Long, and daughter, Barbara Ann Long. Family and friends are invited to visit from 2-8 p.m. Friday, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Reverend Jason Tyas will officiate. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
