Hannah Heaney was living in the household of her brother, Aaron Heaney, and his wife and seven children. She is listed after his four sons in the census, and before the youngest three, and perhaps assisted in the care of the youngest children.

Hannah evidently married her husband, Steward Berger, also born at Monroe Co., Pa., sometime prior to the birth of their first child in 1864.

Hannah Berger, teamster, age 38, was living with her husband and four daughters.
