Julianna was the daughter of John Martin Mickley and Anna Catharina Steckel. She was baptised in the Egypt Reformed Church in Whitehall Twp on 25 Dec 1778. Sponsors Catherina Mueckli (her mother) and Henrick Stoeckel (Julianna's uncle.) Julianna married John Piper before 1799. They were married for 65 years and had 10 children who lived to adulthood. Julianna, her husband John and their unmarried daughter Margaret are buried in Schaffersville cemetary. The inscription on her tombstone reads "Julianna, consort of John Piper, died April 7, 1867, aged 88 yrs.4 mos. 18 days."
