Billy Don Brummet was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on November 9, 1931 and died in Tucson, Arizona on June 25, 2023.

Don is survived by his wife, Judy, two children, Bruce (Victoria) and Catherine (Larry), four grandchildren, Katelyn, Rebecca, Blake and Tess, one great grandson, Alder, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Don was a retired United Methodist Pastor having dedicated his life to churches in Southern California and Arizona. He also served as a District Superintendent from 1978 - 1981. His last pastorate was at Catalina United Methodist Church in Tucson.

Don was a devoted pastor. He loved God, his family and the communities he served. He was a wry humorist and pursuer of knowledge. He was likely one of the most well-read people anyone has met; his family describes him as a history buff. He traveled to many countries with his wife Judy and always enjoyed the opportunity to try new things. His passion for supporting the most vulnerable will continue to impact those who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at Catalina United Methodist Church in Tucson on Saturday, September 9 at 10:30am. Gifts in memory may be sent to the foundation at Catalina United Methodist Church or St Paul's United Methodist Church in Tucson.
