She was the middle daughter of Charles and Hortense (Waldrep) King. Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Marjorie Kay Abercrombie; and two children, Kim Pierce and Rita (Pierce) Wright. Surviving are her daughters, Janice (Pierce) and Michael Grizzel, and Rebecca (Pierce) and Jeff Holcomb; grandchildren, Tricia (Pierce) and Robert Compton, Natalie (Grizzel) and David Martin, Logan Grizzel, Brandon and Erin Holcomb, Brittany (Holcomb) and Jerod Whitlock, Josiah Wright, and Summer (Wright) and Kris Derring; thirteen great grandchildren, Rose, Ruth, and Ruben Compton, Charity, Jonathan, Moriah, Andrew, Bethany, and Daniel Martin, Callie, Cole, and Cora Whitlock, and Nala Derring; and sister, Ann (King) and Marvin Martin.
