KATHLEEN'S OBITUARY
Kathleen Jones, 77, of Shrewsbury, passed away Wednesday, June 21. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Norman Johnson and Violet (Scanlon) Johnson.
Kathy was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She loved her grandchildren and her dog. She enjoyed bowling, especially with her husband Ellsworth. Kathy liked the ocean and travelling to the beach every year.
In addition to her husband, Ellsworth J. Jones, Kathy is survived by her 3 children, Elizabeth Ratchford, Brian Jones, and Christopher Jones; 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Katie, and Matthew Ratchford, and Brendan and Ava Jones; and her sister Chris Mech. She was preceded in death by 5 siblings, Pat DeClue, Mary Jo Dickey, Bud Johnson, Sue Fossler, and Vi Curry, and her parents.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 28 from 6-8 pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. 24 N. 2nd St, New Freedom, PA 17349. A public funeral mass will take place Thursday, June 29, beginning at 11 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 315 N. Constitution Ave, New Freedom, PA 17349. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
