A native of Chester, PA, he had lived in Asheville since 1944. Mr. Adams worked at Asheville Hosiery Mill, Lee H. Edwards High School (Asheville High) and retired from the Asheville VA Medical Hospital in 1986. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the American Legion Post #891 and the VFW.
He was a son of the late James Blair and Minnie Wright Adams and the husband of the late Pauline Calloway Adams who passed away August 27, 1975. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Minnie Gardner and Elizabeth Adams and brothers, James and Johnny Adams.
He was a great Father, Grandfather, Father-in-Law. He was very important to everyone close to him. He never knew a stranger and shared his love with everyone who knew him. He made everyone he knew feel special.
We will miss you Daddy.
