"Walter Palmer married (1) in England, Ann (called Elizabeth to distinguish her from her mother; authority of of Mr. Fred Carlisle, Secretary of the Historical Society of Detroit, Michigan."

Walter's 1st wife is listed as "Anne Palmer" in the Christening of their daughter Elizabeth Palmer.

Walter and Anne Elizabeth had five known children: Grace, John, William, Jones, and Elizabeth.
Some sources say her maiden name was Boothe, others say Brewster.

Walter and Anne Palmer's daughter Elizabeth was Christened, June 28, 1635, Hemsby, Norfolk, England.

When Anne Elizabeth Palmer died about 1630, the family was still residing in Charlestown, MA. The only burying ground at that time was the "Old Burying Ground" in Charlestown that is now called "Phipps Street Burying Ground." Her burial place is unmarked.

The early settlers were from a civilized country and contued similiar practices in the "New World". Thus her burial is surmised to be in the main existing burial place at the time of her death.Walter Palmer married (1) by about 1614, _____ _____. She died by 1633. We know very little about Walter Palmer's first wife — not even her first and/or last name.
While the now defunct Walter Palmer Society suggested his first wife's name was "Elizabeth Ann," there are absolutely no records existing which verify this. Even Anderson's Great Migration declines to suggest a name.
It is known she was the mother of at least Walter's 2 oldest children, if not all 5 [Anderson] —all of whom were born in England. It is also known she died before 1633, when Walter married Rebecca Short.
End of story.Ann Elizabeth was born to Edward Richard Booth and Elizabeth Brooks Booth in London, England. She married the Honorable Walter Palmer June 3, 1610, Nottinghamshire, England.

Elizabeth and Walter Palmer with their five children, arrived in Charleston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts and Elizabeth died shortly afterwards.
