Albert Oscar Campbell, 96, of Exeter Road, a retired weaver, died yesterday at the South County Nursing Center, North Kingstown. He was the husband of the late Gladys (Pierce) Campbell.
Born in North Kingstown, he was a son of the late James and Susanna W. (Northup) Campbell.
Mr. Campbell worked for the Rodman Mfg. Co. for many years until its closing. He previously was a motorman for the Seaview Railroad for many years. He was a member of Washington Lodge 5 AF & AM.
He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Laura Albert, with whom he lived; a brother, James P. Campbell of Westerly; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the George C. Cranston Funeral Home, 140 West Main St., Wickford. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, North Kingstown.
