Katie Dean Lee, age 79, lifelong resident of Mesquite, NV passed away on October 19, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born on February 23rd 1943 in St George, UT to William Charles Pulsipher and Nevada Hardy Pulsipher. She married John Amaca Lee on August 31, 1963 in St George Temple.

She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Holding many callings throughout the years which included: Primary President, Relief Society callings and serving within the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts programs. She also enjoyed playing the piano.

Katie was an exceptional wife and mother, of which she loved spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was often seen with a book in hand due to her fondness of reading. Her books and chocolate were among some of her most prized possessions, in addition to her love of dogs. She always wanted or had a dog, despite any argument from Johnny, who always gave her what she wanted due to their deep love and devotion to one another.

A quilt stand was often found taking up the area in the family room, always inviting her visiting children and grandchildren to sit alongside her as she instructed and silently smiled as she lovingly made beautiful blankets and quilts that would leave a lasting piece of her hard work and dedication for her beloved family. These keepsakes will be treasured for many years to come.

Katie enjoyed frequent trips to DisneyLand, Johnny's favorite place on earth. They enjoyed people watching alongside each other while enjoying a frozen banana. Everywhere they were together was exactly where they wanted to be.

She had a deep love for football, especially the Chargers. She would sit in her oversized recliner that would allow her to hold the grandbabies and would often rock them all to sleep as she cheered on her team. She never missed an opportunity to be present at her children's sporting events and school programs.

Her sweet treats and baked goods were often shared with many, and she never passed up an opportunity to teach her children and grandchildren her love within the kitchen. Some of the fondest memories are sitting at the counter as she prepared homemade chicken noodle soup, croissants and candy. A family favorite was always the homemade ice cream and pomegranate salad.

Katie is survived by her seven children: Scott, Julie, Charles, Michael, Kristen, Stuart, and Curtis; 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and her dogs Zoey and Mickey. Katie was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Nevada Pulsipher, her siblings, Sylvia Frehner, Wilverna Leavitt, Warren Pulsipher, Frenchie Pulsiper and Howard Pulsipher.

The family wishes to thank the kind caregivers who helped take care of mom during the last few months of her life. Just to name a few Debra RN, Laurie RN, Shari CNA and Veronica CNA

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Star Mortuary 320 East Old Mill Road, Mesquite, NV 89027. Family will hold a private service as they lay her to rest with her husband John Lee who passed away in 2003.
