William Boyd Hill, "Bill" "Boyd", 83 years of age, peacefully passed away on June 16, 2023, at the VA Community Living Center, Biloxi, Mississippi.

Bill was born on July 16, 1939, in Fresno, California to the late William A. Hill and Ina M. Armstrong. He was the oldest of four children, Jerry C. Hill, Timothy W. Hill, and Elaine M. Merritt. He was affectionately known as "Boyd" to his family and friends in California.

Bill married Mary Michele Hill on December 28, 1966, and went on to have four children, Karen Lurix, Monique McNeil, Joshua Hill, and Sydney Edwards. Bill was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Bill graduated from Riverdale High School in Riverdale, California. He received his B.S. from the University of Mississippi, in Oxford, Mississippi. Bill was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Navy for 11 years. He was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1960's Device. He worked as an electrical engineer at Northrop Grumman for 37 years.

He was involved in FFA Dairy Judging Team, Raised Ayrshire dairy cows, and showed them at various county and state fairs. He was a member of the Gautier Men's Club and Jaycees. He loved to fish in any lake, ocean, or stream. Give him a pole and he would be the happiest.

Bill was predeceased by his father, William A. Hill; mother, Ina M. Armstrong; brother, Timothy W. Hill; and leaves behind his wife, Mary Michele Hill; daughter, Karen D. Lurix (Michael); daughter, Monique R. McNeil (Kyle); son, Joshua B. Hill; daughter, Sydney M. Edwards (Rohn); granddaughter, Kaley E. Hudson (Nathan); granddaughter, Ryleigh McNeil; grandson, Ethan Edwards; grandson, Lucas Edwards; great-granddaughter, Lauren Hudson; brother, Jerry C. Hill (Patti), and sister, Elaine M. Merritt (Thomas) and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and services on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, D'Iberville, MS. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 12:30 p.m.

Burial will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
