Lenwood J (Len) Smith s/o Peter B Smith (1856-1893) +Anna Elizabeth (Eliza) Hobbie b 1858 d Before 1900.
b Dec 1879 • Montgomery County, Alabama, USA
d Unknown
m Ollie JACKSON 29 Mar 1899 Milam County, Texas, USA

Ollie JACKSON SMITH remarried Aug 1907 Milam County, Texas, USA
to William Frank Copeland (1887–1943)

Len J SMITH most likely died BEFORE his wife Ollie remarried Aug 1907.
Very unlikely, but not impossible: Len and Ollie divorced? or Len desserted Ollie?

24 Sep 1909: Montgomery County, Alabama, USA, Len's name and his sister Cora's name are listed as heirs to their deceased maternal Grandmother, Sarah Ann Long Hobbie [News clipping linked to this Memorial] It is very likely that the Hobbie relatives back in Montgomery, Alabama area had lost contact with Len and Cora by 1909. Both of Len's and Cora's parents had died before 1900.

Len and Cora were close to their 1/2 Uncle Fred Miles SMITH and his wife Lucy Broadway SMITH who lived in Milam County, Texas and were buried in Salty Cemetery. Cora was listed on the Jun 11, 1900 Census in the home of Fred M and Lucy SMITH. Len and his new bride, Ollie, lived next door to Fred M and Lucy SMITH on the same Census.

Len and Cora's father, Peter B Smith (1856-1893), was buried in Salty Cemetery. I highly suspect Len's and Cora's mother is also buried in Salty Cemetery AND that Len is too.
