Emily May Swain, 80, of Lancaster, went Home to be with her Lord Jesus and her loving Irish family on March 22, 2008 at Conestoga View.

Born August 22, 1927 in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Edith McMinn, of Dublin, Ireland. She was the wife of the late Richard R. Swain who passed away in 1990.

Emily was an avid Notre Dame fan and also the New England Patriots.

Emily worked for Lancaster County for 35 years as an assistant in civil defense and veterans affairs. She also worked at Watt & Shand for 23 years.

She was a wonderful mother and great friend who will be loved and missed by all.

She is survived by two sons, Richard C. Swain, of Lancaster, Scott L. Wertz, of Pasadena, CA; 2 grandsons, Scott Wertz, Jr. and John Wertz; as well as her best cat, Lucy.

Graveside Services will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, March 28, 2008 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Ann-ville, PA. Arrangements Entrusted to the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 320 Blue Rock Road, Millersville, PA 17551, 717-872-2266.
