He enjoyed being on Norris Lake and going fishing. He also liked to go golfing. He was a member of the Needmore Road Church of Christ. Charles was a wonderful husband, father, and Pappy. He was a great man and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Madison Nichole Loftis; his sister, Georgina Wallace and his brother, Jim Chittick.
He will be remembered by his beloved wife of 68 years, Gladys Chittick; his daughter, April Loftis; also like a daughter, Sherry Edwards; grandchildren: Taylor (Jeffery)Loftis and Hannah (Kyle) Loftis; great-grandchildren: Bentley Sanders, Braxton Sanders, and Briella Sanders; his brother, John Chittick; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio. His funeral service will begin at 10:30am on Monday, June 26, 2023. Following his service, he will be laid to rest at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
