Ray Wynne, son of William and Theresa Wynne, was born August 8th, 1930 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He lived and attended school in East Grand Forks, Minnesota until moving to the Pine Bend area to continue school. He was a graduate of the Minnesota Barber School in St. Paul.

He married his wife of 69 years, Mariellen Eckstein, on June 19, 1954. They lived in the St. Paul area until 1964, when they moved to rural Cannon Falls where they raised their nine children. Ray owned a barbershop in Rochester, Minnesota and then in Cannon Falls until he retired. After retirement, Ray and Mariellen lived in Solon Springs, Wisconsin for over five years before moving back to rural Cannon Falls in 2004.

Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling with family and friends. He was an active member of St. Pius V Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Cannon Falls Lions Club and the Cannon Falls Sportsman's Club. He also served on the Stanton Township board for several years.

Ray is survived by his wife Mariellen, their five sons Tom, Tim (Valerie), Jeff (Joyce), Greg (Laura) and Jim, as well as their four daughers Kathy (Kevin) Moorhouse, Debbie (Mel) Kummer, Mary and Sharon. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nephews and nieces and sisters-in-laws Sharon and Jeanette (Tom) Trienen, and brother-in-law Don Trumbly. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Emil, Harry, Jerome, Ronald, Elroy and sisters Alvina Spaur and Delores Rahrman.

Memorial Mass will be on Friday, June 30, at 11 am at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 410 W, Colville, Cannon Falls, MN 55009. There will be a visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in St. Pius V Cemetery.
