Mary was a strong, brave, and compassionate woman, who deeply loved all her family and friends. She was outgoing, giving, and a genuinely good person.
In her free time, Mary enjoyed crafting, ceramics, playing bingo and cards (and winning!), game shows, watching sports, and holidays, especially Christmas. Other favorite past times were sitting on the O.C. boardwalk, eating french fries and chocolate, going to lunch, and just going, but most of all spending time with her family and friends at small gatherings and very large parties. She possessed phenomenal culinary skills and her apple and lemon meringue pies, and fried chicken were legendary, as was her ability to catch the first fish by calling, "Here fishy, fishy, fishy!" Her family is lucky to have and will cherish the ceramics, needle art, and crafts she made with love. And her cookbook will continue to be lovingly used for many years to come.
In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her son, Richard "Dickie" Marselle, and great-granddaughter, Kendall Grace, in 2012, her sisters, Kathleen Kellogg and Theresa Smith, and her brother, Robert Preusser.
