Bertha Maxine Hains, age 73, of Fresno, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017. She was born in Coshocton County on January 11, 1943, to the late Emmett and Mildred (Ross) Freetage.
Bertha worked at Edmonts for 42 years before retiring and then worked for a few short years at Annin Flag Company. She enjoyed going out for lunch every day and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two daughters, Shelly Graham of West Lafayette and Michelle Hains of Fresno; four granddaughters, Megan, Amanda, Cierra (Tyler Dickerson) and Kaitlyn; one great-granddaughter, Gracyn and one great-grandson on the way. Bertha is also survived by her brother, Jerry (Kim) Freetage of Orient, Ohio, sisters, Minnie (Robert) Matthews of Coshocton, Karen (Wayne) Patterson of West Lafayette, Helma Wright of West Lafayette, Bernadine McKnight of Coshocton, and Mona Jean Prater of West Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Bertha is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
