Deloris Ann Ysen, 85, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 4000 Valley Square Woodside Village in Grand Forks.

Deloris was born September 12, 1933, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Carl & Alma (Fontaine) Hoff. She grew up and attended school in Grand Forks.

She married the love of her life, Donald Ysen Dec. 3, 1952 in Grand Forks. Shortly after, Donald was deployed to Korea where he served for 2 years. Their daughter, Karen was born July 27th, 1955. They moved to Montana were Donald and his father worked as loggers for a year. They returned back to Grand Forks, and in 1969 the couple moved to the country and worked hard on building a home and working in their yard.

Deloris was a homemaker who enjoyed crafting, rummage sales, flower gardening, taking care of Tedi, and traveling to Montana.

In March of 2006, Donald passed away and Deloris moved into Grand Forks where she met and shared many hours with her new friends whom became known as the Pembrooke Ladies. She most loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

It was always the highlight of her day when they would come and visit.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Steve) Mathiason; grandchildren, Chris (Kera) Mathiason, Chad (Jessica) Mathiason; great-grandchildren, Chayse, Berklee, Aidan, and Corbin; brother, Steve (Bonnie) Hoff; sisters-in-law, Toky Weber & Kazuko Weber; brother-in-law, Pat Morrison and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Deloris was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; brothers, Gordon Weber & Leroy Weber; sisters, Darlene Harms & Geraldine Morrison and a daughter, Kathy Stenen.

The family suggests memorials can be designated to the 4000 Valley Square Woodside Village, Walle Lutheran Church, or the Humane Society.

A memorial service to celebrate Deloris' life will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, June 26th at the Havig-Heen Auditorium at 4000 Valley Square in Grand Forks. There will also be a celebration of life at Eagle's Crest from 4pm til 6pm for friends and family.

Visitation will be the hour prior to the memorial service.

Inurnment will be at Walle Cemetery in rural Thompson, ND.
