We are saddened to announce the passing of Catherine Olivia Breen 4-month-old daughter of William Taylor Breen and Briana Rachelle Ownby Breen, of Houstonia, MO. Catherine was born on January 30, 2023, at Fitzgibbon Hospital and passed June 14, 2023, in the comfort of her family home.
Catherine was an angel sent from heaven and though she was only on this earth for a brief time, she brought so much joy to those she touched. Nicknamed "Sunshine", the moniker fits her so well; her smile lit up the room and everyone around her. Like the sun she rose each morning ready to start the day with a full-faced smile that was contagious to anyone in her presence. While she was unable to share any words, her love for her sisters and family was evident through her joyous excited body shutters and the beaming twinkle in her eyes each time they were near. While this angel has returned home to her heavenly father, her laugh and smile have left joy in the heart of anyone who encountered her. Catherine loved a lifetime in the four months we were graced with her presence, and we will forever treasure the memories and joys of our brief encounter with her.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Sweet Springs, with Rev. Tommy Goode officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to family choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com
In addition to her mom and dad, she is survived by her three sisters; Savannah, Isabella, and Caroline, all of the home; maternal grandparents, Kevin and Vickie Ownby of Sweet Springs, and Leon and Diana Thompson of Marshall; paternal grandparents, Joe Breen of Idaho and Theresa Curtis of Manhattan, KS; maternal great-grandparents, Sam and Diane Wimberly of Marshall, Lawrence and Margaret Ownby of Sweet Springs and Mary Fornshell of Marshall; paternal great-grandparents, Sherry and Richard Curtis of Oklahoma, Peggy and Michael Nester of Texas and Elaine Breen of Idaho; maternal great-great-grandmother, Elaine Silkwood of Chillicothe; as well as many other extended family members.
