Hattie was the daughter of Lewis Lucas and Adeline Grossman.
She married on November 22, 1893, to James A. Henderson.
They appear in the 1920 census of Scioto Township, Jackson County, Ohio, with their sons Homer and Lewis, and in 1930 with their daughter Alma.

LONG ILLNESS PROVES FATAL
An extended period of illness ended in death Monday evening for Mrs. Hattie Henderson, 66, lifelong resident of this county, who died at her home on Jackson route two.
She leaves her husband, James Henderson, prominent Scioto township farmer, two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Jenkins of Chillicothe; and Mrs. Alma Smith, of Jackson, who is now seriously ill in a Portsmouth hospital; and two sons, Lewis Henderson, of Jackson route 2; and Homer Henderson, address unknown. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Stella Brown of Coalton; and Mrs. Edith Ervin of near Jackson; and two brothers, George and Bert Lucas, both of Coalton.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Jackson Methodist church with the Rev. C. J. Yeisley officiating and burial will follow in Fairmount cemetery under the direction of C. E. Mayhew.
