Born in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania on June 30, 1911, he had lived most of his life in the Akron area. A World War II Army veteran, he belonged to the 125th Anti-Aircraft Veterans Association, and was a 47-Year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 562. He worked for the Mohawk Rubber Co. for 27 years, and belonged to their 20-Year Club.
He leaves his wife, Vera; brother, George of Akron; sister, Beatrice Biddle of Barberton; plus several nieces and nephews.
Services will be on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Eckard-Baldwin Funeral Home with interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
