Betty Jo Brown, age 79, of San Angelo, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Betty was born in San Angelo, Texas to Andrew Maine Jones ad Martha Jane Jones. Betty grew up in San Angelo and attended Central High School.

She married Joe Edward Brown and together they had 2 children. Betty had a love for antiques and eventually started her own Antique Consignment Shop where she bought and sold antique items. She turned her favorite hobby into a successful business.

Betty was a proud member of Indian Ministry Missions. Her pastimes included spending time with family and friends, tending to her plants and flowers, traveling, antiquing, and loving on her animals.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe Brown; her son, Denny Brown; her sister Janet Lynn Luce, and her niece, Cindy Baxter.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Susan Newsom and husband Randy; her grandchildren, Lane Newsom, Lacey Salgado, Brandon Newsom, Kristi Schmidt, and Misty Brown; her great grandchildren, Mckinley, Cooper, Dusty, Hayden, Aubrey, Makalynn, Brantly, Addie, Yesenia, and Clyde, her brother in law, Bill Brown, her sister in law, Brenda Owen, as well as her nieces and nephews, Holly, Jody, Monty, Cory, Becky, Mona and Donna.

The family would like to send a special thanks to all of her devoted friends and the caregivers during her final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of San Angelo in Betty's name.

A visitation for Betty will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home. A graveside service will occur Friday, June 16, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Belvedere Cemetery.
