Mary was a longtime faithful member of First Baptist Church, Pasadena until very recently, when health issues prevented her from attending in-person. She continued to watch online live services and support church ministries.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 78 years James A. Acton; daughter Carolyn Ruth Acton Clute; parents Henry and Thelma Perkins; and all her siblings.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with a funeral service starting at 1:00 pm, committal to conclude and reception to follow. All services will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas. Dr. Charles Redmond, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Pasadena, will be officiating.
