Jason Michael Dickey was born May 28, 1980 in San Bernadino, California to Lou and Debi Dickey. He was born in the same hospital as his dad. He passed away February 23, 2022.
In February of 1981, when Jason was nine months old, he got to meet his family in Idaho when his mom moved to Twin Falls, with him and his sister, Simonetta. Needing to find a good job, his mom moved them back to Aberdeen, Idaho in 1985. There, Jason enjoyed school and had a lot of friends. Jason was a very active boy and began working around the age of 14 or 15.
He always took great care of his great grandpa Phillips, helping with yardwork and stacking wood. He really loved his grandpa Frank and enjoyed going camping and fishing with him. In high school, Jason enjoyed every sport: football, wrestling, golf, baseball; he just really loved sports. He also enjoyed dating. He attended several proms and school dances. He had a lot of good friends and very special friendships that he treasured and nurtured. His friends have always been there for him throughout his life. His mom has always appreciated the things his friends have done for him.
After graduation, Jason attended CSI in Twin Falls. There, he met Penny. They were married and had two beautiful girls, Tori Ann and Erika JoAnne Dickey. They both worked very hard to provide for their girls and were later divorced. Jason loved his girls dearly and was committed to spending as much time as possible with them and being a part of their lives as they grew up. Jason then had a third daughter, Morgan. He later had another daughter as well. These girls meant the world to Jason, and he was a devoted father.
Jason loved to meet people and to work hard. He took care of cattle and made many close friends with those he worked. He attended Northridge Fellowship and developed a close relationship with the Lord. He valued the special friendships he made there and had fun playing on their softball team.
Jason obtained his CDL to drive long haul trucks and created many new friendships with staff and companies that he worked for. He always called his mother and told her that although he missed his family, he had found his calling in driving over the road. He loved trucking, he loved his wonderful girls, and he had found a new love with Melodie Hathorne. He was happy, and although he had struggles, he told his mother that he cared for all of his close friends, and was especially grateful for his great boss, Alex.
