Aaron Charles Swaney, 33, passed away peacefully, at home in Sidney, Ohio, after a long battle with cancer on June 10, 2023, transcending into heaven.

He was born December 31, 1989 in Coldwater to Ronald and Cynthia (Sexton) Swaney.

Aaron is survived by his mother, Cynthia Swaney, Sidney; two children, Xavier and Zayleigh; siblings, Bonnie McGhee, North Carolina, Erica Swaney, California, Ethan Swaney, Ohio, and his twin sister, Emily Swaney, Ohio; 5 nephews; 1 niece; 23 aunts and uncles; and 32 first cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Swaney on October 21, 2021; grandparents, William and Helen Sexton and Charles and Virginia Swaney; and an aunt, Jane Shelich.

Aaron is remembered for his patience, strength, determination and drive to be the best person he possibly could. He was a giver and was always there with a listening ear and full of positivity.

He was a 2008 graduate of Celina Senior High School, where he participated in football and weightlifting.

He worked for Crown Equipment, New Bremen, Setex, St. Marys and other factory skilled companies during the time that he was able.

He had excellent cooking skills and was always critiquing in the kitchen.

He was a life member of Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina.

He fought this battle with tremendous help from Hospice in Sidney. They were amazed at his strength and determination to fight the pain and suffering.

Aaron never turned his back on God and truly was an inspiration on how to accept this affliction.

Private graveside services will be held at State Line Cemetery on the Ohio – Indiana border, where Aaron will be laid to rest next to his father.
