Ms. Lois Hewitt Klein, age 74 and a native of Loranger, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Landmark Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her late husband, A.G. Klein, Jr. after an unfortunate industrial accident, which left Lois, at the age of 29, to care for five small children.
Lois was loved and honored by her children and their spouses, Sybil K. and Bruce Shockley, Pumpkin Center; Russel J. and Martha Klein, Ponchatoula, Alan G. and Sharon Klein, Amite. Lois was blessed with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her surviving sisters are Audrey Stephens, Bossier City, La and Gay H. Kirklin of Bend, Oregon.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael S. Klein and David R. Klein; one sister and three brothers, Laverne Hewitt, Aldon "Skeat" Hewitt, Lawson Hewitt and Amos P. Hewitt, Sr.
Interment in Colonial Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home of Hammond.
